Upon boarding the RH42 over the swim platform, the very first thing one notices is the size of this platform. Full width and three feet deep, this area is ideal for a group swim off the stern, diving with air tanks, or other water sports. In the swim platform itself is a water tight locker to store air tanks, dive fins, spears, masks, etc. The hull sides extend aft into the swim area giving the yacht a pronounced reverse stern when viewed in profile, and in these extensions are storage lockers and a fresh water hot and cold shower. Moving forward through the transom door are port and starboard L shaped seats with under storage lockers and a built in insulated ice chest ideal for cold drinks and chilled picnic food. The seats are 6' 2" long and certainly can be used in warm weather for sleeping "out under the stars" if desired. In between the two seats is a Mahogany drop leaf table that is on a stainless steel support and is removable for easy entry into the engine compartment. On the forward end of this picnic area are a port and starboard granite counter tops that contain an electric grill and ice maker on one side and a wash basin with fresh water in the other side. The entire sole area is teak and there is a teak step on each side of the picnic area leading to each side deck. Entering the main salon moving forward, the most noticeable feature is the custom crafted stainless steel- smoked glass (safety glass) sliding door that separates the picnic area from the main salon area. Now, the RH42 is a year round, all weather vessel for those cold rainy days or sudden storms that can build up quickly. In the main salon to starboard is a lovely settee with under storage lockers, a book shelf behind the settee, and a mahogany table positioned in front of the settee. On the port side is the galley with a granite counter top containing a microwave, electric cooktop, dishwasher, sub-zero refrigerator & deep freeze and a smoke remover. The two stainless steel sinks are from Franke - perhaps the finest sink maker in Europe, A 20" LCD TV will sit in the corner of the counter. The sole is teak with holly inlays and in the floor is a "pop-up" wine locker for a dozen bottles or so. All the interior wood working is satin varnished Mahogany and all the side windows are smoked safety glass with slide openings. The main salon and galley area will have a state-of-the-art sound system and a Cruise Air 12,000 BTU air conditioning/heating system ducted through multiple outlets. Going forward down three steps are the two private cabins finished in Satin varnished Mahogany and the large single head and shower. To starboard is a single cabin (or optional two single berths) with a full length hanging locker and fold out writing table. Located under the berth are storage lockers and drawers. To the port side below is a large head and shower which measures 27" square and has a clear sliding safety glass water tight door and teak grate on the shower floor. The head is full of storage areas for bath robes, piles of heavy duty beach and bath towels, shower needs, etc. The wash basin counter is granite covered with storage lockers under. The head is positioned diagonally for maximum leg room and seating comfort. The sole is all teak as is all the wood working in this area. The master stateroom is in the bow with a king size berth and opening overhead hatch. Under the berth are large storage drawers and full length hanging lockers are built in on each side of this cabin, A 17" LCD TV is positioned to starboard along with more high quality speakers, A full length mirror is on the back of the head door. Like the other cabin and main salon, this stateroom is finished in satin varnished Mahogany. High quality carpeting covers the sole in this cabin and the smaller guest cabin. A Cruise Air 12,000 BTU air conditioning and heating system with multiple ducts supports the entire below deck spaces. Up on the cabin top and trunk cabin are hand made varnished teak hand rails. For those wishing to relax in comfort and elegance, a sun deck with upholstered cushion is built in on the top of the trunk deck with room to accommodate three adults. A cup holder area is molded in at the head of the sun deck area.
